Spring 2011: Ralph Lauren

My favorite designer on the Ready to Wear Runway this Spring '11 has to go to Ralph Lauren. I usually gravitate towards more structural pieces or fabrics with lots of vibrant color -- all of which is not showcased in RL Spring '11 collection.

Lately I've found that I am loving the free flowing simplistic type aesthetics. It may be that I have been over exposed to all the crazy things you can do with fashion thanks to Balmain Spring '10, Basso & Brooke Fall '10, and Lady Gaga,. Nothing against her or her monsters, but I am ready for something new. Fashion is like a swinging pendulum, it'll swing towards one extreme and eventually fall and swing towards the other. Skinny jeans and shoulder pads, 80's -- Goodbye. Trouser jeans, Feminine maxi skirts, 70's simplistic sexy style -- HELLO!!

App ♥

So being the OCD organizing freak that I am (my car would beg to differ), I found the most AMAZING app for students!! I have been on the hunt to find a really great planner for about 4 years now. I've searched high and low and everywhere in between - I even went as far as to make one ... bad idea seeing as how I spent weeks (it HAD to be perfect) on it and never finished. I love the feeling of pen against paper, flipping through pages, and crossing off the task you just finish. It makes you feel very accomplished when you flip through a planner and you have page after page of To Do's that have become Been Done's :)
But it is so hard to find a great planner!! I gave up on it.

And then.

I found.

inClass, an app offered on the iPhone and iPad.

Alright, there is no such thing as perfect, but this really does come close to my perfect planner. It is easy to set up, easy to keep up, and very very very organized. You start off with adding all of your course information (subject, teacher, day & time of class, etc.). Then the fun begins. You put in all important dates (exams, projects, etc) and the app will group them either by course, dates in which they are due, ... Alright, I am getting a little too excited about this and I am going off on a tangent. So long story short - if you are looking for a great way to organize your classes check this app out. It is, once again, AMAZING!!

Flowing.Easy.Love.Warm ... Free People

Who does not love Free People? It was so hard to pick my favorite looks from the new January 2011 Catalog! I can not wait until warm weather comes around and taps me on my shoulder and whisper "T, it's time. Pull out your chiffon maxi dress and boots."

First Post of the New Year - 2 0 1 1

HEY GUYS!

What's more appropriate than a New Years Resolution post to start of this New Year? I have not posted in a while and I would like to do something to change that. We all make new years resolutions but how many of us forget what we promised ourselves come February? I mean it is not a big surprise. Rules, although they are not meant to be broken, they for the most part will be broken. I mean if no one is there watching you why not drive over the speed limit, you have somewhere to be, right? So just like my Yoga promise I am putting my resolutions on the world wide web for everyone (and I mean everyone We Live In Public documentary, you should watch it).

1. Read 1 book a Month
2. Make a 4.0 this semester
3. Make more of an effort to stay in touch with friends and family
4. Watch at least 3 movies a month
5. Eat healthier - we are what we eat
6. Work out at least 3 times a week
7. Post to my blog at least 3 times a week
8. Only shop ........ once a month. Ouch that hurts.

Alright, I think that is enough. :) In the next few days there will be a massive blog posting explosion on here. Concerts, music, trips, food, fashion, holidays -- Stay posted!
