La la la: Arcade Frickin' Fire

I was introduced to this fine band one calm summer evening a couple of months ago. On the hour ride back home I popped in the CD and invited thme into my life. Now after listening to all of their albums, reading articles, and going to their concert ... I sit here wondering - Why haven't I heard of them before?! I'm not complaining. Better late than never, right?

Listening to them for the first time in the car was great -- my first dose of Arcade Fire. Listening to them live was AmaZing!! The stage was dark and the only noise you could hear was the crowd settling down around you. From the darkness of the stage, outlines of bodies emerged. From that point on I was engulfed in the moment and the music. There were all songs I had heard before, but putting visual to the music made it that much more incredible.

Listen to them and thank me later :)
Speaking of thanks, I would like to thank M for introducing me to them :) I loved every moment of the show!!

The Wild Cow

The Wild Cow is a nice little vegetarian restaurant located in Nashville, TN and it is Amazing!

I ordered the Portobello Sandwich (marinated & grilled portabella cap with our homemade goddess dressing, roasted red peppers, sprouts & mixed greens on gluten-free bread) and a cold Watermelon soup ... YUM! And M ordered the Prince Fielder (marinated & grilled tempeh or tofu, avocado, tomato, sprouts, cucumbers, shredded carrots, onions, vegenaise, & spicy mustard on gluten-free bread) and hummus ... sigh ... so good :)

(Its ok ... you can wipe your mouth now)

It was packed with so much flavor. Melanie CoChran, co-owner of The Wild Cow, explains it perfectly.
"….the secret is simplicity and REAL food from the earth….that’s it."

Not only is the food amazing, but the story and the people that work there make it such a great place with good energy. Check out their website at www.thewildcow.com and if you ever are in Nashville, TN definitely try to stop in. It is totally worth it!

Eat | Pray | Love

It has been forever and two days since my last post.

When I started this blog a few months back, I had a plan - a very structured plan that I believe would really work in helping me make this blog interesting - I would do research on different topics every week (you know, give myself weekly assignments) and write about what it. I think this is partially due to the fact that I am a bit ... eek, controlling? ... and deadlines I makes me feel productive and comfortable.

Seeing as how I have not posted anything in months, that plan really backfired. I tried so hard to be creative (through lists ... I guess that was my first mistake) that I totally lost sight of what this blog really was for ... A place to voice my opinions ... on whatever topic I choose to write about ... whenever I want to write about them. So here is my first entry in what I hope will be a unstructured mess of a blog!
